In the week of November 8 to 12, 2021, the VNSG organized its traditional annual online congress Focus Online. Avelon also contributed to this through the webinar "Optimization by iRPA and chatbots". This session discussed the added value and concrete use cases. The presentation was illustrated with a number of demos.
Recently, the so-called "free tier model" has become available for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This licensing model allows you to get started with your own free instance of SAP BTP. The free tier model allows you to explore services including SAP Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and even try them out productively until a certain capacity limit is reached.
How do iRPA and chatbots help to optimize your processes, reduce pressure on administrative & support departments while increasing service levels? Do you want answers to these questions and insight into the initial explorations that the University of Utrecht, WML and the Province of North Brabant have conducted for this purpose together with SAP and Avelon? Then watch this webinar.
The desire of the Provincie Noord Brabant to reduce the complexity for users and to improve insight and efficiency was the reason for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and within it the Procure to Pay suite from Avelon. This suite is a modern, user-oriented solution for a simple, streamlined, compliant and audit-proof purchase order and invoice handling process in SAP.
Many SAP users link local PC files to SAP documents. In addition, many outgoing documents are generated by the SAP system.
The table in which attachments and generated documents are stored (the table SOFFCONT1) can take up to 25% of the total database. When looking at the cost of storage in an SAP HANA environment, a reduction of the database can realize significant cost savings.
As annual tradition, SAP rewarded the collaboration with its partners by presenting the SAP Partner Awards. Prizes were awarded to those who have delivered exceptional performance in the past year. This year, Avelon made it through to the finals for the "SAP Service Partner of the year" award. Of course, we are extremely proud of that!
Due to the growth of the organisation, Wavin needed a more robust and comprehensive solution for the management of master data. With SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), Wavin and SAP partner Avelon are laying the foundation for a Master Data Hub where all master data are centrally consolidated and stored.
In the week of 2 to 6 November 2020, VNSG renamed its traditional annual congress VNSG Focus Online. Avelon contributed to this event. In our session, the importance of master data management and data quality was discussed. Explained was how SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) helps to increase data and process quality in your IT landscape.
Proper implementation, optimization and management of SAP Invoice Management (SIM) requires specific knowledge.
Utrecht University therefore called on the expertise of Avelon. "The processing of incoming invoices is now excellent," says Rob Plattèl, director of the Administrative Service Centre (ASC) of Utrecht University.
Avelon considers SAP Master Data Governance as one of its focus areas.
In this blog we focus specifically on SAP Master Data Governance for Financials (MDG-F). SAP MDG-F is SAP's standard solution for centrally managing financial master data such as cost centers, cost center groups, cost types, cost elements etc.
The SAP Fiori Launchpad is the starting point for SAP Fiori apps. Since 2016 it has been possible to consume SAP Fiori from the SAP Cloud Platform via the SAP Fiori Cloud Edition. In Q4 2020 a new option will be added for setting up a SAP Fiori Launchpad, namely the SAP Cloud Platform Launchpad. In this blog we will discuss this new functionality and why it has been introduced.
For many organizations, processing incoming invoices is a costly and often manual process. OpenText has developed Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), also known as SAP Invoice Management (SIM), to solve these problems and to professionalize invoice processing.
OpenText offers various Fiori applications to support the SAP Invoice Management processes.
SAP (Business) workflow is the technical foundation of process optimization within both SAP ECC and S/4HANA. In recent years, SAP has developed several complementary tools grouped under the heading Intelligent Business Process Management. This blog discusses various components such as SAP Workflow, SAP Cloud Platform Workflow, SAP Chatbots, SAP Intelligent RPA and SAP Cloud Platform Process Visibility.
Recently, OpenText presented the latest developments in SAP Invoice Management and SAP Digital Content Processing at the "Partner Deep Dive". Because of COVID-19, the planned meeting in Munich was changed to a very interesting 2-day virtual session.
In the first part of the blog "Increase your productivity by using chatbots" an introduction on chatbots was discussed. In this blog, the technical aspects of a chatbot and SAP Conversational AI (SAP CAI) are discussed in more detail.
With 35 representatives from more than 20 different companies using SAP Invoice Management, Friday 31 January 2020 was another successful SIM Customer Day.
Master data management is clearly one of THE topics in current IT and business related issues. Operational excellence is only achieved with consistent master data. SAP Master Data Governance can help you with this. Read more in this blog.
In early 2018, SAP announced the acquisition of Recast.AI. This enables SAP to offer a platform, which can be used to develop applications and software. The platform uses "Natural Language Processing" (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) to understand natural language. SAP offers this technology under the name SAP Conversational AI (CAI) and the most appealing application is the development of so-called chatbots.
Visit our stand at the Connect to Innovate event on 2 October 2019. We would like to tell you about optimizing the Procure to Pay process, SAP Invoice Management, SAP Master Data Governance and Fiori!
