Avelon E-invoicing
The advantages of fully digital delivery, receipt and processing of invoices are obvious. The administrative burden is drastically reduced, the accuracy and therefore the quality of the administration increases and the process as a whole is faster, which contributes to a timely payment. Something every organization wants!
Nevertheless, the number of examples of successful e-invoicing processes is limited. An important reason for this is the diversity of invoice formats and the lack of willingness on the part of suppliers to deliver the invoice in the way and format you want as a customer. Not surprisingly, imagine what it would mean for your organization if the invoices had to be sent in a large number of different ways.

Manage subscriptions Workflow / SIM / Fiori
A stable workflow/SIM environment is the least you owe to your organization. Incidents must be resolved quickly and properly so that continuity is not endangered. Of course, stability is crucial but also the implementation of (small) changes is important to keep your user organization satisfied and to improve the process and functionality step by step.

SAP Invoice Management (SIM) version 7.0 support stops at the end of 2017!
It is often forgotten or gets low on the priority list; yet keeping your software up-to-date is essential. Although SAP Invoice Management (SIM) version 7.5 has been available for about two years, version 7.0 (or even 6.0) is still running on many SAP systems. Please note that version 6.0 (and version 7.0 of the OCR component) has not been supported through the official channels for over a year now and for SIM version 7.0 this will apply from December 2017.
It is recommended to upgrade to version 7.5. This covers the support from SAP/OpenText until April 2021. An additional advantage of upgrading is that the latest functionality can be used (e.g. approval via Fiori) and customization can possibly be replaced by standard functionality.
In addition to support, a SAP upgrade from the basic system to a higher EHP (enhancement package) can also mean that a SIM upgrade is required to keep the solution working properly. For exact details, see OSS note 2339256.
In order to guarantee the least possible impact on ongoing processes, system availability and to be able to make immediate use of new functionality, an upgrade must take place in a predetermined manner.
In recent years, Avelon has built up extensive experience in such upgrades of existing SIM installations to the latest version and can take care of this in a highly efficient manner.
