Your role at Avelon

As a functional SAP MDG consultant, you are responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving master data processes within SAP landscapes. You work at the intersection of business and IT and translate organizational requirements, policies, and data quality objectives into workable SAP MDG solutions.

You are involved in MDG implementations and further developments and focus on data domains such as business partner, customer, supplier, material, or finance. In doing so, you work closely with technical MDG consultants and other SAP specialists.

Your duties will include:

  • analyzing existing master data processes and governance structures

  • collecting and elaborating requirements from business stakeholders

  • designing MDG processes and governance agreements

  • contributing ideas about roles, responsibilities, and approval structures

  • Functional specification and design of workflows, validations, and data quality rules

  • guiding key users, data owners, and other stakeholders

  • contribute to roadmap and improvement proposals relating to data governance

What top performers are we looking for

We are not looking for a standard consultant, but someone who dares to take ownership of the content and recognizes themselves in the following profile:

  • higher professional education or university education level of work and thinking

  • Experience as a functional SAP consultant, preferably with SAP MDG or master data issues

  • knowledge of master data processes and governance principles

  • experience with one or more master data domains

  • able to translate business requirements into clear functional designs

  • strong communication skills and comfortable in conversations with various stakeholders

  • structured and pragmatic approach

  • Experience with SAP MDG configuration is a big plus, but not a requirement.

You are a team player who sees software implementation not as an end in itself, but as a means to help organizations work better. You actively contribute to knowledge sharing, improving our approach, and further professionalizing our services.
